Max hides from my papparazzi tendendies

The Blogger Mafia tends to only network with each other

"There are no adult beverages here. I disapprove."

For some reason, Jason's facial expression delights me. I can't pin down why.

Getting ready to listen to the speakers:

According to Brandi, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio are where dreams go to die:

Jason telling the crowd that he wishes he had stalkers

At the end of the Q&A, Dan from WCCO's sales department did a quick pitch about their online add network for bloggers (of which I was rejected). This was also the part of the night where I had my own little FTW moment.

One of the speakers made a comment about allowing blogs with "edgy content" take part in the program, to which we all turned to look at Jeremy (mysteriously rejected as well), but he was apparently in the restroom. To which I threw out this little gem: "He's downstairs creating some 'edgy content' as we speak." I SLAY ME!!!!!
Anyway, I learned way more than I really needed to know about citizen journalism and the tension between traditional and new media, but it was cool to do something in Minneapolis that didn't involve sitting on a patio, drinking beer, and gossiping.

7 people who bitched:
i like jeremy's shirt.
where are the pics of you?
edgy content? you?!?!?! ;)
That's not what I said. I like Illinois. What I said was:
Indiana is where hopes and dreams go to die and Ohio is where hopes and dreams check into the ICU with DNR.
I look smashing in my red shirt.
I'm kind of a nerd because I have an affinity for Jason DeRusha. He worked for a local station here in my hometown before he ended up at 'CCO. I was living and working in the Cities when he came up. Even though I don't know him, it was like I knew him because he was here when I was here (in Iowa) and there (Mpls) when I was there. :)
did you take those pictures with your new camera? they look great.
ps- where has my future wife Hedy been lately?!?!?!
Omg AGAIN, that is my cutie patootie boyfriend in the red polo!! He is apparently allergic to smiling.
Indiana is where hopes and dreams go to die and Ohio is where hopes and dreams check into the ICU with DNR.
This sounds dead-on to me! I still don't miss Cincin-nasty
